Description
The recreation ground is simply named after the road but the name, Addison, originally comes from the famous essayist Joseph Addison (1672-1719), who lived at Bilton Hall from 1713 and landscaped the estate.
The recreation ground is situated at the bottom of the hill on Addison Road, next to the allotments.
The 5.23 acre site (2.1 hectares) has been in possession of the Borough Council since 1914.
Dogs must be put on a lead when directed. A Public Space Protection Order applies.
